Join us in community, as writers and storytellers take the stage in the stunning visual space of downtown Issaquah’s historic Train Depot to share their writing in the Eastside’s salon literary open mic series.
On January 20th, 2025 we commemorate Martin Luther King Jr Day, Inauguration Day and Blue Monday all falling on same day. How do we define, serve and engage with our values of equality, freedom and liberation in this new year, this seemingly new time.
Five incredible features kick off the night with poems, stories, short films and perspectives: Amber Flame, Quenton Baker, Robert Lashley, Jaqueline Ware and Wynter Rhys.
Followed by schmoozing and open mic. Bring your stories, poems, essays, diaries, letters, jokes, hermit crabs, op eds, musings…
Can't wait to celebrate, to discuss, to understand what is happening in our world with you.
